The night before

... the final walkthrough!

Can't believe we're here. Final walkthrough at 9 a.m. tomorrow. Closing at 9 a.m. Friday. Moving Friday-Monday. SOOOOOOOOOOOO EXCITED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The husband did his own pre-walkthrough on Sunday, and also enlisted the help of my dad. There's a decent size list of things to talk to our PM about, but mostly minor. Will report back on how it went. But in the meantime, here are an obscene (really, really Prince Harry in Vegas obscene) amount of photos (many with lots of blue tape). (Pics by the fabulous husband)

  3. Do you have to contact your PM each time you want to visit? Just curious how many owners have access to their homes. I have to schedule time or my PM to open the house--which is sometimes a hassle.
    Thx

    1. We have been at this house almost every day and sometimes twice a day through this whole process. Technically I think our PM said he's supposed to be with us when we visit the house. Liability issues with a construction site. But in reality RH knows that people are going to go see their houses. It got slightly trickier when they started locking the doors, but where there's a will there's a way.

  7. Looks awesome! Congrats!
And a suggestion for the outlet on your (beautiful) fireplace...take it off and just spray paint it an oiled rubbed bronze (you can buy the spray paint at lowes or home depot and its only a couple bucks). It will blend better and look much fancier!

  10. Love it all! I'm excited for you guys, and I think your selections are amazing. I don't have any knowledge of getting stone look-a-like electrical outlets, but at the very least you could pull out some Rustoleum (American Accents) in their stone spray that gives a stone-like texture and color. I have used this before and it's an amazing product! It would blend it nicely.
